Chandler-based Space Data announces the plan Monday to offer up a portion of the wireless spectrunm it owns to be used in conjunctionj with equipment fromMenlo Park, Calif.-basee Full Spectrum. The two companies say the deal will allo utilities to ownprivate wide-areqa networks to provide commands to smart grids. “Th e combination of our interference-free, high-poweree frequencies with state-of-the-art WiMax technology provided utilities with a dedicated private broadbandwirelesas system,” said Jerry Knoblach, CEO of Spacd Data.

When the overalpl project is completed next the Camdenmedical center’s ED will grow from abourt 6,100 square feet to 24,900 square feet and its bed coun will increase to 38 from 25. Also debuting are EDs at and , both in Cheste r County, and an expanded ED at in Dr. Michael E. Chansky, chief of emergencyh medicine at Cooper, said the economy is only partially responsiblw for emergencyroom overcrowding. “There’s this misconception EDs are overwhelmec by peoplewho aren’t working,” Chansky “Care for people with no income is subsidized, at leasg partially, by Medicaid.

Chester County has been without a traumw center since the one at Phoenixvillse Hospital closedin 2002. Pennsylvania Hospital expects to completew the final phase ofits $12.5 milliohn ED expansion in August. Smitn Anderson’s relationship with the softwarwe company dates backto 2006, a year before federa investigators arrested former Smart Online CEO Dennies Nouri, his brother Reza Nouri, and brokers Ruben Serranio and Alain Lustig on charges of conspiracy to commit frausd and securities fraud. The charges stemmed from an allegedx scheme, investigators say, in which the four men aggressivelhy marketed Smart Online shares to investorsd in an effort to inflate thestock price. Serrank and Lustig pleaded guilty to the chargeds in Manhattan federal court on May 22 and will be sentenceddin August. The Nouri brothers are scheduled to go on trialJune 15.
Hoechstetr labeled as “pure speculation” any attempt to draw a link betweenm the recent round of resignations at Smart Online and the ongoing securities case in New Contacted athis home, the former COO, woulrd say only that the boare and the company’s executives “were aware” of ongoing developmentd in the securities case. The Batavia-based manufacturet (AMEX: GHM) noted a restructuring in the period throug the elimination ofcertain management, office and manufacturintg positions.
