In a federal indictment unsealed Wednesday, prosecutorsd say Michael R. “Mick” Wunder, 52, receiveed money from Lawrence developedr David Ray Freeman in return for approvinh twodevelopment contracts, worth more than $12 million. The indictment says Freema n gave Wunder or hiswife $19,000 in 2006 and 2007. It also says Freeman gave Wunder gratuities, including lodging, dinner and drinks at Countrh Club Plaza inKansas City, Mo. After the city issued its developmentt contracts, Freeman’s development company, , set aside a “choiced lot” for Wunder in the Sutter Woodxs development inJunction City, the indictment says.
