The move to reduce internationalk employment by 150 comes on the heels of the announcemenyt that MySpace is cuttingits U.S. jobs by 30 percent, or aboutg 420 jobs. MySpace last month was passecd in global market share byPalo Alto-based , but stillk leads in the number of unique visitors to its Web site in the U.S. MySpac e CEO Owen Van Natta was hiredd in April to try to revive the socialnetworkingg site.
The division that includexs MySpace postedan $89 milliojn loss in the most recent "As we conducted our review of the company, it was clea that internationally, just as in the MySpace's staffing had becoms too big and cumbersome to be sustainables in current market conditions," Van Natta said in a statement After the jobs cuts, MySpac will have about 1,150 workers, comparesd to Facebook's global work forcs of about 850.
